The Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens is one of the most beautiful parks in the world, and one of the most inspiring. The park is completely organic, using no harmful chemical pesticides. It also features plants that don’t require much water, all artistically planted in a design that delights the senses. Best of all, admission to the public is free!
To me, one of the most amazing things about the park: every time I’ve been there, the park has seemed less crowded than it really was.
Visitors are able to meander through the park in different sections, with plants, trees and structures forming visual barriers that separate one section from another.
This park attracts visitors from all over the world. (I’ve personally met tourists from Norway, Israel and Canada on different occasions when I’ve visited the park.) Yet even on a busy weekend, there are enough nooks and crannies to explore in this park that you can still find quiet spots to enjoy in relative seclusion.
The park features a well-stocked koi pond, with lily pads gracing the surface. The koi share the pond with bunches of turtles, and also the occasional duck.
